International Schools
The international school sector in Hong Kong is very diverse and is designed for meeting the needs of non-local families, particular cultural or linguistic groups, and/or whose students do not wish to sit for local examinations. These international curricula offered include those from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as various International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. Currently, there are a total of 54 international schools operating in Hong Kong, some may operate in more than one campus. International schools belong to private school sector, and are operated on a self-financing and market-driven basis.
