The Learning Enhancement (LE) Department is a resource centre available for all students. The LE department offers differentiated support and enrichment to students with an identified academic, social or emotional need and students of exceptional record of achievement. We also recognise that for some of our students English is not their first language. Therefore, in order for students to access the curriculum and progress in-line with their ability we support them in their acquisition of fluency in English.
Financial assistance is available upon the demonstration of bona fide financial need.
Students new to the School have induction days before the academic year begins. All families, new and old are invited to social events at the start and throughout the academic year.
Interview and Assessment
It is the aim of the School to provide places for all members of the Jewish community. The School also welcomes candidates from the wider community, both HK Permanent Resident and foreign nationals, subject to space.
With our rolling admission system, the School accepts new students throughout the year, subject to an entry assessment and interview with the Principal. Therefore the School’s enrollment fluctuates throughout the year.
Carmel School is a Jewish International School committed to academic excellence through fostering intellectual curiosity, self-directed learning and the individual development of each child.
Our personalised approach, with emphasis on growing caring, compassionate, global citizens, produces students who are independent thinkers and communicators and who will become leaders and contribute to the Jewish and wider world.
