Founded in 1992, Christian Alliance P.C. Lau Memorial International School (CAPCL) was the first international school set up by The Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance. Over the past years, CAPCL has nurtured numerous both local and global Christian leaders. CAPCL in Kowloon City closed for renovation in 2017 and it has re-opened since August 2020. The enhanced campus focuses on early childhood and primary education. It is set to serve approximately 550 preparatory to grade 6 students.
Revamped and rejuvenated, our school provides a nurturing, stimulating and fun environment to fulfil the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of our young learners. In addition to imparting children with knowledge and equipping them with skills, we emphasize their character development, especially the Christian ethos to serve the community.
CAPCL adopts the Canadian-Alberta English-Chinese (Mandarin) Bilingual Curriculum, and the medium of instruction is approximately 65% English and 35% Chinese (Mandarin and traditional script). In addition to Chinese lessons, students will study mathematics and one of the specialty subjects using Mandarin. We aim to provide ample opportunities for students to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
CAPCL students are trained to be intelligent, diligent learners with an enthusiasm to serve others. Our Christian ethos goes well beyond just merely the imparting of knowledge, it celebrates the importance of wisdom as inspired by the Bible. The school strives to cultivate a Christ-centered, learners-focused, and socially conscious community in which learning, and teaching are relational, rigorous, and relevant.
