IMS seeks to support children of all learning styles, and admits those for whom we can provide the needed support. Our resources include Learning Support programs and access to Speech, Occupational and other Therapists. IMS may require a professional assessment for an individual child to evaluate suitability and determine the type of special support needed.

Founded in 2002 as Greater China’s first through-chain Montessori school, IMS serves close to 1,000 children aged up to 14 through its network of 4 campuses. In 2025, the school launch its inaugural Middle School programme for students aged 12-14, marking a historic milestone for Montessori education in Hong Kong.
IMS’ curriculum combines an authentic Montessori programme with an immersive bilingual environment, nurturing children to develop independence, knowledge, and a joy of learning in both English and Mandarin.
With over a century of proven success, the Montessori method is a child-centred approach that fosters self-directed learning through hands-on activities and specialised materials. As one of the world’s largest Montessori schools, IMS offers programmes from parent/toddler to preschool and through to Middle school. The new Middle School programme provides a seamless continuum for elementary graduates, who consistently transition to top international secondary schools in Hong Kong as enthusiastic learners with strong critical thinking skills and lifelong curiosity.
