About the School

Founded in 2002 as Greater China’s first through-chain Montessori school, IMS serves close to 1,000 children aged up to 12 through its network of 4 campuses. IMS’ curriculum combines an authentic Montessori programme with an immersive bilingual environment, nurturing children to develop independence, knowledge, and a joy of learning in both English and Mandarin.

The Montessori method is a child-centred approach that encourages self-directed learning through hands-on activities and specialized materials, with over 100 years of proven success. As one of the world’s largest Montessori schools, IMS offers programmes from parent/toddler to preschool and through to primary school. IMS students graduate to top international secondary schools in Hong Kong as enthusiastic learners with strong critical thinking skills and lifelong curiosity.

* Information on each school profile is compiled by Education Bureau based on voluntary contributions by the schools and their return to the annual enrolment survey conducted by Education Bureau. Any enquiries should be addressed to the schools directly.
