About the School

Renowned for its academic innovation and supportive community, Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) prioritizes holistic student development through a well-rounded approach that includes academics, athletics, arts, and extracurricular activities.

As one of Hong Kong's leading international schools, CDNIS is a not-for-profit institution serving over 2,100 students from more than 40 nationalities, spanning from Nursery to Grade 12. Since its founding in 1991, CDNIS has blended Canadian and Chinese educational principles to create a unique learning environment.

In August 2024, CDNIS proudly opened its Early Years Centre, offering its highly sought-after half-day bilingual Nursery and Early Years 1 programmes. The CDNIS bilingual curriculum dedicates equal time to English and Mandarin from Nursery through Grade 1, and it will expand by one grade level each year in the Lower School until reaching Grade 5 by the 2028/2029 academic year.

As an IB World School, CDNIS provides the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme, in addition to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Remarkably, CDNIS is the only school outside Canada where students can graduate with both the IBDP and OSSD, preparing them for prestigious universities worldwide.

CDNIS is proudly accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), affirming our dedication to maintaining high educational standards. We invite you to explore the nurturing environment we offer for our youngest learners.
