Founded in 1932 by Madam Tsang Chor-hang, Yew Chung has been a pioneer in providing quality bilingual and multicultural education to students in Hong Kong for over 90 years. Originally specialising in Early Childhood Education, YCIS has evolved to offer comprehensive education from early childhood through the primary and secondary levels, culminating in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
YCIS pioneered in offering a contemporary Chinese international education that develops future leaders with cross-cultural understanding, skills, knowledge and empathy, for success in an interconnected world. Yew Chung places strong emphasis on character education, built upon 12 traditional Chinese virtues and Christian values, nurturing students to become compassionate global citizens of the 21st century. Dedicated to experiential learning that transcends beyond traditional classrooms, the school offers opportunities for students to gain practical experiences, enabling them to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. Excursions to China and overseas support the development of global perspectives among students.
Committed to empowering our younger generation with the skills and qualities to thrive in an ever-changing world, YCIS continues to refine, revolutionize its pedagogies and education approach, building a bright future for humanity.
