About the School

St. Paul's Convent School (SPCS), a Catholic secondary school for girls from the age of eleven to eighteen, is sponsored and administered by the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres, an international congregation, founded in France, that has a history of three hundred years of educational excellence. In September 2004, SPCS changed its status from a Grant-in-aid School to a Direct Subsidy Scheme School (DSS) . This change has been most beneficial as it has enhanced the school's unique vision and mission to develop all-round educational excellence, something that has been acclaimed by renowned institutions both locally and internationally. The change has also further helped to strengthen our status as a school that provides a world-class standard of all-round education. This has enabled us to launch steadfastly into the 21st millennium.

SPCS fosters a harmonious atmosphere and a simple lifestyle, creating a happy and motivating learning environment for students. Guided by the "Roots and Wings" concept, the school's educational philosophy emphasizes the “Roots” - recognition of one's identity as a Chinese and a member of the school community based on Christian values. Alongside character formation, SPCS prioritizes students full-potential development with a solid foundation of knowledge and academic excellence. Additionally, students are offered
“Wings” - opportunities to acquire high language and emerging technology proficiency to pursue their personal interests and aspirations, going beyond the basics with the provision of alternative pathways such as IGCSE and GCE, in addition to the local DSE. This flexibility enables students to take flight to their desired career pathways.

SPCS is committed to delivering a holistic education, offering diverse non-academic programmes that enhance students' skills and resilience to tackle real-world challenges. Through the “Roots and Wings” philosophy, students are encouraged to embrace their origins and dreams, contributing meaningfully to their home, profession, and society.
