About the School

Po Leung Kuk Ngan Po Ling College offers a dual curriculum, DSE and IBPD curriculum, with a rich and authentic language environment. English and Putonghua are our school languages. English is our medium of instruction. Chinese language lessons are conducted in Putonghua at S.1 as well as S.2 and selected classes at S.3 onwards. With a Y2K school campus of 7,000 square metres, our school has a newly renovated SMART library, Chinese Medicine Research Centre, multi-purpose rooms, computer rooms, a conference room, a school hall with balcony, a multi-purpose hall, a gymnasium, student activity rooms, a race track, a long jump pit and a canteen with a cook and green lunch arrangement. Our indoor swimming pool, student hostels, astronomy and meteorology science centre, an orchestra room, piano rooms and stargazing corner are located at our New Annex. Our STEAM Lab will be open in coming November. All these facilities can enrich students’ learning experience and their school life. In recent years, our school has made remarkable achievements in academic performance, extracurricular activities, Form 1 admission and the External School Review (ESR) conducted by Education Bureau (EDB). For DSE results, a total of 27 subjects have attained the best value-added performance. More than 80% of the graduates obtained degree offers from JUPAS, and more than half of them were admitted by the top three universities in Hong Kong. For IB, all graduates acquired degree offers from both local and world-renowned universities. 97% of Form 6 students also achieved Level 6 to 8.5 in IELTS. The school won more than 380 awards in academic and non-academic competitions last year. The achievements in Chinese medicine research and scientific research are particularly outstanding. Our students have successfully applied for patents for their research inventions. The EDB also rated the school as excellent in the areas of school management, principal leadership and student growth in the latest ESR. The School has been awarded the "Po Leung Kuk Outstanding School Award" for 2 times within 4 years.
